  • Where are you located?
    RH Hairdressing is based in Mt Maunganui, Tauranga, with a private salon studio located at 355D Maungaui Rd.
  • How do I book?
    Bookings can be made via the online booking system or by ph on +64 27 373 8447. If you’re not exactly sure what you will be having done in terms of colour please book the closest service listed. Service prices are to be used as a guide and RH Hairdressing reserves the right to update prices as required.
  • Can I cancel or change my appointment?
    Any changes or cancellations to the reservation must be communicated at least 48 hours prior to your reservation on +64 27 373 8447. If there is a question you would like to ask please call the salon on +64 27 373 8447. Rachel may not answer the phone if busy are with guests, so please leave a message. A 30% deposit is taken on all bookings. You will lose your deposit should you change, reschedule or cancel your booking with less than 48 hours notice. Cancellations on the day of your appointment will be charged 50% unless we are able to fill your appointment. Please be considerate of our time and other clients wanting an appointment when booking your appointment. We have a strict No Show Policy and you will be invoiced 100% of your bill if you do not turn up to your appointment.
  • When should I arrive?
    To maximize your experience, please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you are lost, or running late, please phone us on +64 27 373 8447. Arriving late might mean your service is reduced, or that we cannot honour your appointment in the time left. Please note that appointments must finish on time so as not to inconvenience our next client, and full fees apply to shortened services.
  • What is your customer service policy?
    At RH Hairdressing, we will always do our best to accommodate all of our guests in any way we can. We provide special deals from time to time although we will not “barter” our prices down as we value the high level of training and education that has gone into this career to provide you with a great service. RH Hairdressing also uses high quality products which do influence the overall pricing, although we know our customers get better results for longer.
  • Do you have any special considerations?
    For any allergies, conditions or disabilities not advised at the time of making the reservation, please contact RH Hairdressing so we can best accommodate your needs and assist in the appropriate service. Whilst all care is taken, RH Hairdressing cannot guarantee any of our treatments are completely free from traces of allergens, or appropriate for any medical condition. Please seek prior advice from your doctor or healthcare professional.
  • Is there parking available at the salon?
    Yes, RH Hairdressing has 1 off-street park available outside the salon and plenty of street parking on Maunganui Rd.
  • Is the salon wheelchair accessible?
    Yes, the studio space is on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible (as is the nominated parking space).
  • Do you sell gift vouchers?
    Gift vouchers from RH Hairdressing may be purchased from the salon and are valid for 12 months from date of issue. Vouchers are redeemable for available services and products at RH Hairdressing and may not be exchanged for cash.
  • Can I give you feedback after my service?
    RH Hairdressing is passionate about achieving the kind of service we like to receive ourselves as customers – that’s why we value your input and feel extremely grateful when you’ve taken the time to share your views. If you have had a great experience please let us know, however if you haven’t had a great experience please let Rachel (Salon Owner) know in order to take steps to resolve concerns and ensure we are improving and continuing to do things better.   • Do you offer refunds?
    RH Hairdressing will not accept products that are no longer in their original condition due to hygiene purposes. Requests for exchange must be within 48hrs of purchase. We do not offer refunds on hair services, although we are willing to fix any mistakes or have you come back in free of charge if there is something not quite to your satisfaction regarding your hair. Please be assured that this is never an uncomfortable experience and we are more than happy to ensure that you love your new style. Our policy is that you must notify us within 48 hrs if any concerns and be able to come back within 7 days of original appointment.
  • How does mobile hairdressing work?
    With this service offering, RH Hairdressing will bring all the required aquipment to your house/location. All you need to provide is an open space, chair and a mirror (this is optional as it's more for your preference during the service).
  • How do you wash my colours out at home?
    RH Hairdressing will remove any foils in your hair, however you will need to rinse the colour out yourself in the shower (we will provide any neccessary products to do so). We used to rinse out clients colours, however it's too taxing on our backs unfortunately without the proper salon equipment set up.
  • How do you know what to bring to my appointment?
    RH Hairdressing will do a consultation with you over the phone prior to your appointment, after which we'll get you to send through some photos of your hair and what look you want to achieve. This will give us a better idea on what products are required for your service.
  • What areas do you service with mobile hairdressing?
    We will travel within Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Omokoroa.
  • Do you charge for travel?
    Yes, RH Hairdressing will charge for the mobile service and travel per KM. This will be established after your booking is made and an online consultation is done to confirm appointment details. We will then quote you for the relative travel costs.
